The DN50-S aseptic discharge procedure allows liquids to be discharged in a clean and contamination free way from a filled liner through the bottom valve of the IBC container.
As in the filling process, the valve is sterilized with steam before discharge. This ensures that the product does not come into contact with external contamination during discharge. The procedure is the reverse of the bottom fill instructions.
Connect the DN50 piping to the valve at the bottom of the container. Make sure the pipe is aligned with the valve opening and tighten the connection firmly. A loose connection can cause leakage during discharge.
Check visually if the piping is correctly and firmly connected to the DN50-S valve. The blue fix clip must be fully locked in the container opening. Only when all connections are secure, the steam cycle can start.
During steam sterilization before discharge, pressure and temperature must not exceed 140°C and 3.5 bar. Monitor both gauges during the full steam cycle. Check the steam guideline manual for exact cycle times per cycle. Contact customer service for more information.

When the steam cycle is completed, open the valve to start discharge. Turn the valve with a smooth and controlled movement. The product now flows through the DN50 piping from the liner. Close the valve when the required amount is discharged.
