Towards a future where sustainability is the standard

We envision a future where sustainability is the norm, not the exception. A world where our products and services not only meet the needs of our customers but also have a positive and lasting impact on our planet. We are driven to guide our customers and partners on their path to sustainable growth.

At Qbig, sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. We believe sustainability isn’t just a trend but a responsibility we carry as a company. Here's why sustainability is essential to us:

Qbig Packaging

Partnership for sustainable innovation

At Qbig, we firmly believe that collaboration is the key to genuine innovation. Our mission is to develop groundbreaking, sustainable plastic solutions in partnership with our customers and stakeholders. We are proud to bridge the gap between ideas and reality, creating products and services that not only boost the success of our partners but also contribute to our planet’s protection.

BPA-free products and reduced plastic waste

We advocate for BPA-free products and are committed to reducing the amount of plastic needed to produce our fitments. Our passion for ‘Design Thinking’ constantly drives us to explore new ways to offer more sustainable solutions.

Made in Holland: good for us and the planet

We proudly say ‘Made in Holland!’. This choice benefits not just us but our environment and our planet. By shifting production from Asia to the Netherlands, we significantly reduce CO2 emissions, contributing to a cleaner, more sustainable future.

Collaboration with Kansis: a win-win situation

Qbig established ‘The FaQtory’ in partnership with Kansis, an employment company within Stichtse Vecht and Ronde Venen that provides job opportunities to those distanced from the labor market. Our longstanding relationship with Kansis dates back over 20 years, leading to various packaging tasks and employing their team in the assembly process in our Clean Room for the fitments we mold in our FaQtory. Whenever possible, we train Kansis’ employees to operate the injection molding machines. This collaboration exemplifies a win-win situation with significant societal value.

Circular use of plastic

The R2S process: circular use of plastic

At Qbig, we actively work to reduce our ecological footprint and promote sustainability in the plastics industry. This involves increasing the percentage of recycled plastic in products, or preferably, using entirely recycled plastic. Some industries still prohibit the use of recycled plastic for certain product types, but we always engage in the conversation. A major initiative within Straatweg Group is our R2S process, focused on the circular use of plastic.

With the R2S process, we aim to minimize waste and maximize the lifespan of plastic materials. This involves actively seeking ways to reclaim and recycle used plastic products, reincorporating them into our production processes, backed with precise reports on CO2 savings.

We’re determined to continue the sustainability dialogue, not only with our customers but also with their stakeholders. We remain committed to finding innovative solutions and exploring new opportunities to incorporate recycled material into our products.

As you can see, sustainability is not optional for us; it’s a responsibility we proudly bear. We remain dedicated to a cleaner and greener future and invite our customers and partners to join us on this journey. Together, we can make a positive impact on our planet.
